Wayne Walks: The Class of 2026 Comes Full Circle

Wayne Walks: The Class of 2026 Comes Full Circle

Seniors retraced the steps of their education, from elementary school hallways to the Ninth Grade Center, greeted at every turn by cheers, tears, and the teachers who helped shape them.

There were hugs in the hallways, tears at classroom doors, and more than a few signs that said it all. On Friday, May 15, the Senior Class of 2026 took part in one of Wayne Township's most beloved traditions, Wayne Walks, a journey back through the schools that helped shape them.

Seniors visited their former elementary schools, 7th and 8th Grade Center, Ben Davis Ninth Grade Center, and the Education Center, completing the full arc of their time in Wayne Township schools. At each stop, students and staff lined the hallways holding handmade signs, playing music, and cheering as the seniors passed through.

At every turn, there was someone who remembered them. A teacher who taught them to read. A coach who pushed them. A hallway they once walked.

Wayne Walks is a powerful reminder of what we mean by “We Are Wayne”: A community that shows up, shapes you, cheers you on, and leaves its mark.

Congratulations to our seniors. We are so proud of you!
