M.S.D. of Wayne Township Now Accepting Out-of-District Applications for 2025-2026

The Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township is now accepting Out-of-District Transfer applications for the 2025-2026 school year. Families residing outside district boundaries who wish to enroll their children in Wayne Township schools can submit applications through May 2, 2025.

 

We're excited to welcome families from surrounding areas who are interested in the outstanding educational opportunities available in our schools. Our out-of-district enrollment process allows students from beyond our boundaries to benefit from Wayne Township's commitment to excellence.

 

The district has opened applications for several elementary schools, including Bridgeport, Chapelwood, Garden City, Maplewood, McClelland, Rhoades, Stout Field, and Westlake. However, three elementary schools—Chapel Glen, North Wayne, and Robey—are only accepting applications from current out-of-district students and are not open to new out-of-district applicants. All secondary schools are also accepting applications, including Ben Davis High School and Ben Davis University High School.

 

Families can apply through multiple methods: completing an online application, emailing a completed form, dropping off a paper application at the Education Center, or mailing an application to the district office.

 

Applications will be reviewed based on available space at each school and the student's academic, attendance, and behavioral records. Acceptance letters will be sent in June, and all approved students must complete enrollment by mid-July.

 

The district notes that transportation is not provided for out-of-district students, and applications are approved for one year only, requiring annual renewal.
