Franken-Month Speaker Event–Oct. 30th

As part of BDU’s STEM Initiatives our STEM Action Committee is connecting our use of the novel Frankenstein from our senior dual-credit LITR 220/English 12-2 classes with guest speakers in the area of medical humanities!  Last May BDU applied and was awarded a $1000 grant to engage our students in STEM Connections with Frankenstein which is sponsored by the Indiana Humanities organization as well as the Indiana Public Library.

Our first connected event will be a guest speaker which is the Director of Medical Humanities from IUPUI to share medical connections including scientific research and progress connected to the Frankenstein novel and more information.  The guest speaker will be in the BDU Community room on Tuesday, October 30th from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.  Refreshments will be provided. All are welcome.  Extra credit provided to BDU students.  Please RSVP to Crista Carlino by Monday, Oct. 29th.
