BDU Off to Great Start Despite the Pandemic Protocols and Changes

BDU has had a GREAT start to the new school year despite the pandemic protocols and changes.

BDU is very excited to be able to continue offering our Medical Interpreting Program through Bridging the Gap with a new trained instructor, Spanish and ELL teacher EJ Jzar!  She went through over 80 hours of training this summer to become a certified trainer.  We hope to double back on our graduates to complete their training from last year and we are very thankful for the financial support of this program provided to us by the Wayne Township Education Foundation.

BDU is also very excited to be offering two NEW dual credit classes through University of Indianapolis! Students will engage in education courses which transfer directly into the program for both Elementary Education and Secondary Education. These courses will be co-taught by our BDU teachers Katie Smith & Lisa Stephens for Elementary Ed and Crista Carlino & Connie Bleicher. We are so excited for the new partnership!

Lastly, we have a new Art Adjunct Professor joining us this year to teach Art Appreciation, Mr. Daryll Moody. He has jumped into google classroom and is excited to join the BDU staff!
